Fall 2008 Day of Caring
On Saturday, September 6, about 45Honors students joined other students on campus—mostly freshmen in the Freshman Year Experience—to take part in the United Way Day of Caring in Lancaster City. Some female Honors students were sent to the YWCA in Lancaster, where they received their project assignment and tools. Male students assisted in cleaning up a stretch of Fruitville Pike by picking up trash, pulling weeds, remove any debris blocking the sewers, etc. The guys then helped mulch the entire area in the pouring rain! It was once again a tiring day but very satisfactory! Below are a couple of pictures taken during our Day of Caring!
