Proposal Guidelines
Purpose for Endowment:
The Women's Issues Endowment Award was established to support the conduct or dissemination of research or the organization of programs that focus on issues of concern to women. The awards are intended to encourage integration of the curriculum, research on women, and ongoing efforts to insure a climate of gender equality at Millersville University.
Purpose for Allocations:
General allocations canbe used for a variety of purposes such as travel, purchase of supplies, equipment, publication charges, etc. related to events or other projects to support women's issues or promote gender equailty at Millersville University.
Eligibility:
Recipients must be students at Millersville University or full time members of the faculty, staff, or administration at Millersville University. Since awards support projects prior to their occurrence, recipients must anticipate being part of the Millersville University community until the project is completed.
Awards can be used to cover expenses incurred in research, publication, and/or dissemination expenses directly related to the public programs, seminars, or workshops on women’s issues.
The maximum total award per person in any one year is $500. Awards may be made to one or more projects. The merit of the proposal will determine the total award.
Evaluation Criteria:
Proposed projects will be evaluated according to the degree to which they meet the purpose of the endowment, and whether the project supports one or more of the following goals:
