While not all of the Following events, lectures, and/or programs are sponsored by the Women's Studies department, they all pertain to issues that women face and the Women's Studies department encourages students of all disciplines as well as staff, faculty, and community members to attend.
"Telling Her Story"

A forum for informal presentations and discussions surrounding various women's issues.  The Women's Center will host a monthly luncheon that will feature Millersville University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and special guests. Each presenter will have the opportunity to share a personal story of achievement, a current research project, book review, or lead a discussion on current women's issue.  Anyone with an interest in women's issues is encouraged to participate. The series will meet the first Wednesday of each month.  All programs will meet in the Student Memorial Center room 161 at noon.  A light lunch will be provided. If you would like to share your story or would like to nominate someone as a presenter, please contact Martha Glass , Coordinator of the Elsie S. Shenk Wellness and Women's Center at 871-2238 or  martha.glass@millersville.edu.


April 5th
Dr. Rita Smith-Wade-El, MU faculty, presents "The Experiences of African-American Cleaning Women".




May 3rd
"Honoring Our Mothers" This will be an open discussion, attendees are invited to share a story about their mother and the influence she has had in their life.



*All Women's Film Series Films will be shown at 6:45pm on Sunday evenings in Myers Auditorium, McComsey
