Organizations wishing to apply to the Artist in Residence Program (AIR) program must be nonprofit, 501(c)(3), tax-exempt corporations, a unit of government or school district providing arts programming and/or arts services in Pennsylvania. Organizations (host sites) must be incorporated in and conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to apply for support. PCA awards must be matched; see the application form for rates and details. In-kind goods and services may not be used to match PCA funds. PCA funds must be applied only to support the services of the artist(s) in residence. The host site must assume all other expenses such as materials for the residence.

South Central PaARTners has developed a Handbook for a Successful Artist Residency. Each school and organization involved in an artist residency will be supplied with a copy of this handbook to assist in the implementation of the residency.
