HOSTETTER LOSES CLOSE MATCH IN NCAA CONSOLATION BRACKET
March 21 – Millersville University 's Jarrett Hostetter (jr. Oxford, Pa. ,/ Oxford ) fell in a 6-4 decision to Ohio State's Jason Johnstone in the 157-pound consolation bracket of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament in St. Louis on Saturday. (full story)

HOSTETTER'S 20-MATCH WIN STREAK SNAPPED AT NCAA WRESTLING TOURNEY
March 20 – Jarrett Hostetter (jr. Oxford , Pa. /Oxford HS) lost his first-round match at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament in St. Louis on Thursday, snapping his 20-match win streak.
The East Region champ at 157-pounds dropped a 2-0 decision to Newly McSpadden of Oklahoma State. Hosttetter, who also received a bye in the first-round of the wrestleback bracket, is now 34-7 on the year. (full story)

HOSTETTER TAKES HOME INDIVIDUAL TITLE, MILLERSVILLE FINISHES FOURTH AT NCAA EAST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Feb. 7 – The Millersville University wrestling team held a 13-6 lead over Kutztown at the midway point but dropped the remaining five matches in 28-13 loss against the Golden Bears on Thursday. (full story)

MILLERSVILLE WRESTLERS WIN TWO AT EAST REGIONAL DUALS
Feb. 3 – The Millersville University wrestling team went 2-1-1 at the NCAA East Regional Duals this afternoon at Pucillo Gymnasium. The Marauders began the day with victories over Gardner-Webb (24-23) and Delaware State (27-17. After a bye in the third round, the Marauders tied Duquesne University (18-18) before falling to Liberty, which went 4-0 on the day, by a score of 38-10. (full story) (results)

MILLERSVILLE WRESTLERS FALL AT EAST STROUDSBURG
Jan. 29 – The Millersville University wrestling team took a big lead but lost 24-19 at East Stroudsburg on Tuesday evening. The Marauders won four consecutive matches to build a 19-8 advantage heading into the 184-pound bout. But the Warriors picked up three bonus point victories in the upper weight bouts to rally and win the match. (full story)

MILLERSVILLE TO HOST NCAA EAST REGIONAL DUALS ON FEB. 3
Jan. 24 - Millersville University will host the five-team NCAA Regional Duals on Sat., Feb. 3 at Pucillo Gymnasium. In addition to the Marauder competitors, wrestlers from Gardner Webb, Duquesne, Liberty and Delaware State universities will participate. The action begins at 8 a.m. while weigh-ins begin at 7 a.m. (schedule)

WRESTLING: SHIPPENSBURG WINS BEATS MILLERSVILLE 22-15
Jan. 23 – The Millersville University wrestling team fell to Shippensburg 22-15 at Pucillo Gymnasium on Wednesday night. Cody Becker (sr. Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove HS), Jarrett Hostetter (jr. Oxford, Pa./Oxford HS) and Steve Funk (sr. Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge HS) recorded decisions for the Marauders (1-6). (full story)

WRESTLING TEAM COMPETES AT 2008 VIRGINIA DUALS
Jan. 12, 2008 – The Millersville University wrestling team dropped two of three matches at Saturday’s Virginia Duals American College Tourney.  The team fell in its opening match to Apprentice School, 29-27, before recovering to knock off McDaniel College, 32-18.  SUNY Brockport ended the Marauders day with a 22-19 victory over the Heavyweight-less Millersville squad. MILLERSVILLE’S EVANS TAKES FIRST PLACE AT SHORTY HITCHCOCK WRESTLING TOURNEY
Jan. 5 – Millersville University’s Josh Evans (jr. Clark’s Summitt, Pa./Abington Heights), wrestling unattached, took first place at 165 pounds in the fifth annual Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic wrestling open, held Saturday in MU’s Pucillo Gymnasium. (full story)

MILLERSVILLE HOSTS FIFTH ANNUAL SHORTY HITCHCOCK MEMORIAL WRESTLING CLASSIC
Jan. 5 – Over 200 wrestlers have registered for today's Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic wrestling tournament at Pucillo Gymnasium. The fifth annual tournament is held each winter in honor of Floyd "Shorty" Hitchcock, who coached at Millersville for 18 years before dying of cancer in February 2002. WRESTLING TEAM FALLS TO LOCK HAVEN, 19-18
Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville University wrestling team used a pair of decisions by Steve Funk (sr. Perkasie/Pennridge) and Keith McDonald (jr. Red Lion/Red Lion) at the 184 and 197-pound bouts, respectively, to pull ahead of visiting Lock Haven 18-16 with just the heavyweight matchup remaining.   However, Dan Craig, coming off of a fifth place finish at the PSU open, took care of Millersville heavyweight Ray Bennett (fr.
