Course Description: This course is designed to give students an understanding of the fundamental principles of planning, operating and maintaining athletic facilities and organizing and conducting special events.  Emphasis will be focused on designing facilities for efficiency of operation and maintenance.  Elements of this course will include class lectures, guest presentations, individual projects, and on-site observations.  Opportunities for relevant practical application of information are incorporated into the course.
