STUDENT SENATE ALLOCATIONS
Each spring the Student Senate conducts hearings concerning the allocation of funds from the Student Activity Fee. The treasurer of the Student Senate serves as chairperson of the allocations committee and schedules hearings for representatives of each group presenting a request. Only duly recognized campus organizations that have been constituted for a full semester following the semester in which they were duly recognized may request an allocation. The chairperson of the allocations committee mails the allocations forms to all organizations in January prior to the hearings, which are conducted during the months of February, March and April. The allocations committee makes its recommendations to the total Student Senate for approval. The University president has final authority for approving the recommendations of the Student Senate.
