ACTS, Led by Veronica Longenecker, Director

  • Provides comprehensive hardware and software technical support for faculty, students and staff including: desktop system setup and troubleshooting, software installations and upgrades, hardware upgrades, basic hardware troubleshooting and repair, integration of hardware and software consultation.
  • Supports instructional technology in campus computer labs and classrooms.
  • Provides statistical services utilizing SAS, SPSS, Minitab and other popular packages.
  • Provides testing and assessment services.
  • Manages the Information Technology Help Desk.
  • Manages the Student Technology Assistant Program.
  • Provides comprehensive technical support for all the university's centrally administered systems including: account generation and maintenance, operating system maintenance and upgrade, performance assurance and security.

Administrative Information Services

 

AIS, Led by Gail Childs, Interim AVP-IT

  • Supports the Banner administrative software package and related services, including Advancement, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Financial Aid and Student modules.
  • Administers the Brio reporting tools which facilitates access to information campuswide via ad hoc reporting.
  • Develops and/or implements interfaces to Banner and other administrative software packages, including the Degree Audit System (DARS), the voice recognition system, web self-service, Marauder OneCArds, SSHE payroll system, and the library.
  • Provides data warehousing and reporting support services.
  • Manages Oracle databases.
  • Provides special programming services for automating new business processes.

Communications and Network Services

 

CNS, Led by Mike Ondisco, Director

  • Provides technical support, advice and consultation for all aspects of the university's comprehensive and integrated voice, data and video infrastructure.
  • Manages Student Telephone Services.
  • Responsible for all the network accessibility from resident halls.
  • Supports videoconferencing, satellite downlinks and campus cable television project.
  • Manages connectivity with all off-campus University partners.
  • Supports campus audio-visual technology in the computer labs and all the technology classrooms.

Web and Multimedia Services

 

WMS, Led by Diane Duell, Director

  • Manages Millersville University's home page.
  • Provides functional and technical support for campus intranet and secure server applications including the Banner web services, web-based registration and web forms.
  • Supports software and services for web-based instruction and professional presentations.
  • Technical support for Blackboard and eCollege.
  • Provides technical support, advice and consultation for all campus multimedia endeavors.
  • Training relating to the use of all web services.
  • CD/DVD creation services.
