Program Schedule
The program includes three tracks.  Tracks I and II consist of a series of three-hour workshops taught by faculty in the School of Science and Mathematics of Millersville University.  The tracks are not sequential, but first-time applicants may wish to select Track I.  Tracks I and II are open to students entering eighth through twelfth grade in the Fall of 2008. Track III is for students entering tenth through twelfth grade in the Fall of 2008.

Tracks I, II, and III meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on the following dates: July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17. During the final week, the tracks will meet Tuesday, July 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

TRACK III

A Journey Into Computer Science
(Mr. Echterling, Computer Science)

For tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students. Computer science topics may include: Programming in Visual Basic, Java, C++, or MIT Scratch. Students will explore Robotics using Legos to create Battle Bots.  Students will create Webpages describing what they learned throughout SSTP 2008. New this year, students will explore video game design and programming using Game Maker software package.
