COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Anthropology Major (B.A.): 120 s.h.
Required courses: ANTH 121, 122, 123, 220, 422; 3 additional ANTH credits at the 200 level above 220; 3 ANTH credits at the 300 level; 3 additional ANTH credits at the 400 level; 6 additional s.h. in ANTH to equal 30 s.h. Required related: one of the following options: Foreign Language (6 s.h.), Area Option (9-12 s.h.), Statistics and Computer Science (9-11 s.h.).

Anthropology Major/Archeology Option (B.A.): 120 s.h.
Required courses: ANTH 121, 122, 123, 220, 233, 320, 422 and 425 and 6 s.h. at the 200-level or above (excluding ANTH 201).

Sociology Major (B.A.): 120 s.h.
Required courses: SOCY 101, 250, 301, 401, 448 and 15 s.h. of electives in sociology. Required related course: Math 130 (prereq: for SOCY 250).

Sociology Major/Criminology Option (B.A.): 120 s.h.
Required courses: SOCY 101, 250, 301, 401, 448 or co-op/internship and SOCY 230, 231, 232 and 3 s.h. of SOCY 330-339 and 3 s.h. of electives in sociology. Required related courses: MATH 130 (prereq: for SOCY 250) and 9 s.h. of related criminology electives.

Social Studies Major (B.S.Ed.): 120 s.h.
Secondary Education Certificate
Sociology/Anthropology Option
Required courses: ANTH 121 or 201; 3 additional ANTH credits at the 220 level or above; SOCY 101 and 210 or 211; 12 additional credits in sociology and/or anthropology to equal 24 s.h. Also required: EDFN 211, 241 and 330; plus EDSE 321, 433 and 461. See Social Studies section.

Sociology-Psychology Double Major (B.A.): 120 s.h.
Completion of sociology major. One course from PSYC 227, 228, 317 or 335 may be credited as an elective in sociology. PSYC 211 may substitute for MATH 10. Completion of psychology major. One course from SOCY 316, 319, ANTH 323 or 324 may be credited as an elective in psychology.

Anthropology Minor: 18 s.h.
Required courses: ANTH 121 or 201, and either 122 or 123; ANTH 220* and 422*; 3 additional ANTH credits at the 200 level above 220; 3 ANTH credits at the 300 level. Additional ANTH credits (if necessary) to equal 18 s.h. *These courses may be replaced by 400 level ANTH courses approved by the student’s advisor and the department chairperson.

Sociology Minor: 18 s.h.
Required courses: SOCY 101, 6 s.h. at the 200 level, SOCY 401, and 6 additional s.h. of sociology at the 300 or 400 level.

Criminology Minor: 18 s.h.
Required courses: SOCY 101, 230, 231, and 232, plus 6 s.h. from SOCY 330-339 and/or 3 s.h. of criminal justice co-op/internship.
